Privacy Policy
What you share with us — your details, your story, and the samples you entrust to us — is deeply personal. This policy explains, plainly, what we collect and how we protect it.
1. What we collect
- Contact details you provide through our consultation form, WhatsApp, email, or calls: name, phone number, city, email, and anything you choose to tell us.
- Commission details: your order specification, delivery address, payment records (processed by secure third-party payment providers — we never store card details), and the documentation created for your provenance record.
- Samples: the biological material (such as hair) you provide for your commission, handled exclusively under our chain-of-custody protocol.
- Website basics: standard analytics about site visits (pages viewed, approximate location, device type), including the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which helps us measure the effectiveness of our advertising. You can opt out of interest-based advertising through your Meta ad preferences.
2. How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and provide consultations.
- To manufacture, document, certify, and deliver your commission.
- To keep you informed at production milestones.
- To meet legal, tax, and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your story, your commission, or your identity with anyone except the partners strictly necessary to fulfil your order (laboratory, certification institute, courier, payment provider) — each bound to confidentiality.
3. Your samples
Samples are used solely for carbon extraction for your commissioned diamond. They are never used for any other purpose — including any form of testing, research, or analysis beyond what your commission requires. Unused material is returned or respectfully handled per your written instruction. Note: growing a diamond does not involve DNA analysis, and the finished diamond contains no genetic material — only carbon.
4. Your story stays yours
We will never use your name, photographs, or story in marketing, social media, or press without your explicit written consent, which you may withdraw at any time. Declining has no effect on your commission or care.
5. Retention
We retain commission records and provenance documentation so that your diamond's authenticity can be verified for generations — this is part of the product. Enquiry data from people who do not commission is deleted within 24 months. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time, subject to legal record-keeping requirements.
6. Security
Data is stored on access-controlled systems; samples are stored in sealed, logged custody. Payments are processed by RBI-regulated payment providers over encrypted connections.
7. Your rights
You may request a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal data, or withdraw consent for its use, by writing to care@diamonddna.in. We respond within 30 days. This policy is maintained in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
