1. Who we are
DiamondDNA ("we", "us") creates made-to-order, certified lab-grown diamonds from carbon extracted from customer-supplied biological samples (such as hair), together with related documentation, packaging, and concierge services. These Terms govern all enquiries, consultations, and commissions placed through diamonddna.in or directly with our team.
2. The nature of a commission
Every DiamondDNA diamond is a bespoke item, manufactured individually from a sample you provide. It cannot be resold, restocked, or replicated. By confirming a commission, you acknowledge that the product is personalised and made to order.
3. Consultations and quotations
All commissions begin with a consultation. Following it, we issue a written quotation specifying the stone (carat, cut, colour grade range, clarity range), timeline, and total price. Quotations are all-inclusive of laboratory work, certification, provenance documentation, presentation case, and delivery within India unless stated otherwise. A quotation is valid for 30 days and does not change once accepted.
4. Samples and custody
- You confirm that any sample you provide is given lawfully and, where it relates to another person, with appropriate consent or authority.
- Samples are sealed, assigned a unique identity, and handled under our documented chain-of-custody protocol. Each hand-off is receipted.
- We will confirm sample sufficiency before production begins. If a sample is insufficient, we will request additional material or offer a full refund of amounts paid.
- Unused sample material is returned to you with your diamond, or respectfully handled per your written instruction.
5. Payment
Commissions are confirmed on receipt of payment as specified in your quotation (full payment or an agreed milestone schedule). Instalment/EMI options, where offered, are provided through third-party payment providers subject to their terms and eligibility.
6. Timelines
Typical delivery is 10–12 weeks from confirmed sample receipt and payment. Timelines are estimates made in good faith; growth and certification are physical processes and minor variation is possible. We will keep you informed at every milestone and notify you promptly of any delay.
7. The diamond
Diamonds are grown to your commissioned specification within stated grade ranges (e.g., E–H colour, VS clarity) and are certified by an independent gemological institute (IGI unless agreed otherwise). Natural variation within stated ranges is inherent to diamond growth and is not a defect. Carat weights are guaranteed at or above the commissioned weight.
8. Remakes and quality
If a delivered stone fails to meet its commissioned specification or certification, we will remake it at no cost. Damage in transit is covered by insurance included in your commission. Our remake and refund commitments are set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
9. Intellectual property and confidentiality
All content on this website, our documentation formats, and the DiamondDNA name and marks are our property. We treat your commission, your story, and your documentation as strictly confidential; we will never use your story publicly without your explicit written consent.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with a commission is limited to the amounts paid for that commission. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
